1. Have the beam projector ready to show the activity suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” and download the file, and make copies for students for the second activity.

2. Write on the board this sentence, ‘Mario is 11 years old.” And choose students at random to say one more sentence each until you have a long and complete description on the board.

3. Tell students that in this video there are 19 different categories to group vocabulary for descriptions.

4. Ask students to work in pairs and write down the groups they think the vocabulary comes in.

5. Invite some volunteers to share their groups and play the video.

6. Make pauses as necessary and tell students to cross out the groups that were not mentioned in the video.

7. Decide if you want your students to write down the new vocabulary for descriptions or just read it.

8. Tell students to work in groups of three and take turns in describing someone for the other two members to draw. Encourage students to use their imagination to ‘create’ a unique character.

9. When the three students in the teams have described their character, exchange their works, and invite the other teams to look at the drawing and describe it.

10. Tell students to think of a friend, preferably, a friend in their neighborhood not from class.

11. Distribute the template and read the instructions. Recommend students to write a quick list of adjectives to describe him/her physically and another list to describe personalities. Help with vocabulary as needed.

12. Ask students to write the description and do not take long, a maximum of 5 to 7 minutes. If you consider they need more time to organize the activity in a different way and let them finish in no more than 10 minutes.

13. When time is up, ask students to exchange their worksheets with other classmates and read them.

14. Ask students, How different are their friends from yours?

1. Download the file of the activities suggested in the “ Materiales   Educativos  Digitales” and make copies for students.

2. Choose 5 letters from the alphabet and at random and write them on the board, for example, C  / F  / M  / S  / H

And ask students to think of words to describe people that start with those letters.

3.  Distribute the worksheet and draw students’ attention towards the list of adjectives on the left. Help with vocabulary if needed.

4. Ask students to read the sentences and complete them with the appropriate adjective.

5. Check answers by choosing students at random to read the sentences and clarify meaning in case students got wrong answers.

6. Ask students, what do you look like? And what kind of person are you?  And have the class listen and comment on that.

7. Tell students they are going to practice listening comprehension by identifying the person you describe.

8. Distribute the worksheet and ask students to cross out in pencil the picture you describe.

9. Read the first sentence to model the activity… is bald with a beard and mustache and ask the class who that one is ( D1) so clarify they need to give you the letter and the number.

10. Start the activity and encourage students to work on their listening comprehension avoiding copying from their classmates' papers.

11. Invite students to compare their answers, not to correct anything since you are going to read the sentences again for confirmation.

12. Ask students to remember how the pictures were described and choose some volunteers to practice them.

6. Do the preparation task and then play the video. Make pauses for students to make comments and ask questions on meaning.

7. Work on the multiple-choice exercise and check answers.

8. Continue with the gap-fill exercise and play the text again.

9. Invite students to share their answers with the class and discuss and explain as necessary.

10. Ask students the final question, Are you happy with your appearance? Why? Why not?

12. Write on the board a sentence that expresses what somebody likes doing as part of his/ her preferences (like + verbING).

13. Ask students to match the correct answer to the questions.

15. For the final round, ask the questions and have volunteers answer for the class to reconfirm.

16. If time allows, distribute the second activity and ask students to choose the correct answers or give it for homework.

17. Discuss the answers by starting with the ones are not possible to be correct.
