1. Download the files and make copies for students of the suggested activities in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section.

2. Tell students they are going to play a game to practice feelings and emotions asking 'How do you feel?'

3. Ask students how they feel and help with different adjectives.

4. Divide the students into pairs and give each pair a copy of the game board, a dice, and two counters.

5. The students place their counters on the start square and the first student to throw a six starts the game.

6. When a student lands on a square, their partner asks them the 'How did you feel...?' question on the square.

7. The student then answers the question by describing how they felt the last time the thing happened to them.

8. Encourage students to ask their partner follow-up questions to continue the conversation and gain more information.

9. The first student to reach the finish wins the game.

10. Ask students how they feel when they get good news and great news.

11. Distribute the worksheet and ask students to search the words individually.

12. Go over the list of adjectives and help with vocabulary if needed.

13. Set a time limit and when time is up, ask students to exchange their worksheets with other students and confirm they got all the words.

14. Invite students to arrange these adjectives into two groups (any two groups), what could those be?

1. Download the file suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section and make copies for students. It is the same worksheet with different activities.

2. Ask students what an unexpected situation is and what type of possible feelings they may get.

3. Ask students what unexpected situation they've been through. They will learn about some of those situations in class.

4. Distribute the worksheet and ask students to work in pairs.

5. Ask students to look at the pictures and identify what the situations are. Help with vocabulary as needed.

6. Ask students to label the pictures using the sentences in the box.

7. This may be a good opportunity to review the simple past verb forms so ask students to give you some examples of regular and irregular verbs.

8. Ask students to discuss and make a list of the feeling and emotions these people felt in these situations.

9. Invite pairs of students to sit with another pair and compare their lists.

10. Make a single list with all the different adjectives for the feelings and emotions they got.

11. Ask students to work in groups of three and rank the 9 situations 1-9 in order of importance to them and why. That is, they need to contrast the situations and even when all of them are unexpected some are much more delicate than others.

12. Monitor the activity and offer help as needed.

13. Invite groups to present their conclusions and encourage the other groups to make contributions and give opinions.

14. Ask the class how they would feel in each situation and make a list of feelings on the board to conduct a survey and find the most common feelings.

2. Ask students what course they never study for and how they would feel if, miraculously, they passed. Then, what course they always study for and how they would feel if they failed.

3. Discuss both situations with the class and use one or two feelings to model the activity about yourself.

10. Distribute the worksheet and draw students’ attention towards the right column where the emotions are listed.

11. Ask students how many of these feelings they have felt recently, When? What happened? Was it an unexpected situation? etc.

12. Ask students to read the definitions listed on the left and write the letter of the feeling. Help with vocabulary as needed.

13. Invite students to work in pairs and compare their lists.

14. Ask students to work with another pair and read either the definitions for them to guess the feeling say the feeling and ask for the definition using their own words.

15. Ask students to group the feelings that can be experienced by having an unpleasant unexpected situation.
