1. Have the beam projector ready to show the video suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section and the copies of the suggested file, as well, ready.

2. Ask students what the rules of their classroom are and discuss how important they are.

3. Ask students what other places they know have rules to be observed.

4. Tell students they are going to watch a video about some rules in a classroom which probably are different from theirs.

5. Play the video and have students listen to the song and help with vocabulary as needed.

6. Pause the video when the rules are shown and talk about them with the students.

7. Play the song again and invite students to sing along and dance to it.

8. Ask students if they observe those rules and which others they observe in the classroom with you.

1. Download the file suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” and make copies for students. Have the beam projector ready to work on an interactive worksheet, as well.

2. Ask students to tell you what the basic classroom rules are and discuss why they are important.

3. Write some of those rules on the board and pay close attention to the grammar, i.e., ‘Don’t ----‘ .

Tell students they are going to learn new classroom rules.

4. Distribute the list and tell students they are going to learn new classroom rules to compare with the ones you set.

5. Ask students to number the rules (1-10) and make sure they understand them.

6. Call out a number (1-10) and choose a student to read the rule that corresponds to that number, i.e., T: 8, S: “Follow directions, instructions and rules”.

6. Ask students to do  the same activity in pairs. Student A, calls out the number and student B reads the rule, then they switch roles.

7. Do one more round and say a number i.e., ‘4’ and have the whole class read the rule that corresponds.

8. Ask student if classroom rules and school rules are the same.

9. Project the activity and tell students they are going to choose the best answer out of three choices.

10. Explain students briefly what ‘can’t’, ‘must’ and ‘mustn’t’ mean and are used in rules. Give a couple of examples, ‘You can’t play in the classroom’, ‘You must pay attention to the teacher.’

6. Invite ten volunteers to come to the front of the class, take turns and complete the sentences.

7. If time allows, you can have a second round of the same activity.

8. Invite the class to copy in their notebooks 3 of those rules and ask students to read them for you.

2. Tell students they are going to review some classroom rules and write on the board,1.  “DON’T----“  2. DON’T”, 3. “DON’T----“ and invite students to work in pairs and complete the classroom rules.

3. Have students read the rules.

4. Invite 12 students to work on this activity. Tell them they have to look at the picture first and then match the verb with their correspondent preposition or complement.

5. Model the activity by answering the first exercise, COME  + IN = Come in and ask students to act it out.

6. Once they have completed their sentence, they are going todictate the class the sentence.

7. If time allows, you may have a second round with other 12 students.

9. Read those words with students and ask them to remember what expression they come from.

10. Ask students to write the complete expressions that are classroom rules.
