1. Have the beam projector ready to show the interactive activities suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section.

2.  Write on the board a scrambled question DO  / ?  / WHERE  / LIVE / YOU and ask students to think what possible question that is.

3. Wait for answers and make sure they remember how to form a question.

4. Show the scrambled sentences and ask students to copy them in their notebooks.

5. Ask students to unscramble them and compare their answers in pairs. Do not say anything until students reconfirm later in the activity.

6. Invite 11 students to come to the front and type their answers.

7. Click ‘terminado’ and invite the class to reconfirm.

8. Invite students to mingle and ask those 11 questions to 11 different classmates and practice asking and answering.

9. Ask students ‘ Do you like playing football?’ and ‘Do you like coloring?’ and write the questions on the board.

10. You may want to mention that “do you like___+ing ? “ is the right way to ask somebody about the activities they like doing.

11. Show the activity and drive students' attention towards the pictures on the left that are self-explanatory but do not say what they are.

12. Invite some volunteers to come to the front, take turns, and choose the correct answer.

13. Invite the rest of the class to confirm the answers and click ‘terminado’ for general confirmation.

14. In case there are some mistakes, take some time to go over the sentences and highlight ‘like __(verb) + __ing’

1. Have the beam projector ready to show the video suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” and download and print the file for the second activity, as well.

2. Write on the board two heading, ORDINAL NUMBERS / CARDINAL NUMBERS.

3. Borrow some books from students and count them up, 1,2,3,4, etc., do the same with pencils, and backpacks maybe and write the numbers in the CARDINAL NUMBERS column.

4. Tell students they are going to listen to a song about the other type of numbers, ORDINAL NUMBERS.

5. Play the song and have students listen to the ordinal numbers 1st- 10th, then draw their attention to their spelling.

6.  Teach “Those are the ordinal numbers” so they can sing the chorus and join in.

7. The last part of the video teaches the difference between ‘cardinal and ordinal numbers,  point at the headings you wrote on the board and complete with the examples mentioned.

8. Play the video one more time and invite your students to sing along and clap to the rhythm.

9. Line up the books, pencils and/ or backpacks you used at the beginning of the class and ask students to practice 1st, 2nd, etc.

10. Review the ordinal numbers 1st to 10th by placing 10 different objects on the desk and asking students to how they go, first, second, etc.

11. Distribute the first worksheet and ask students to fill in the blanks with their corresponding ordinal number spelling.

12. Encourage students not to copy the words from their notes but to try to remember the spelling.

13. Invite students to exchange their worksheets with another classmate and check those answers, Are they the same or different?

14. Ask students to read aloud the ordinal numbers and spell them out.

15. Distribute worksheet 2 and ask students to complete the blanks with the ordinal numbers but this time set a time limit.

16. Check answers with the class and say who was/ were the winner(s).

1. Download the file suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section. Print and make copies for students. From the first file, print page 8 only.

2. Write on the board the cardinals 1 – 10 and ask students to ‘make’ those into ordinal numbers. Elicit the correct spelling and pronunciation and write them.

3. Distribute the worksheet and review the (zoo) animals vocabulary with students.

4. Ask students where they can see all these animals (zoo) (movie).

5. Read the first positions with the lion and invite students to complete the rest of the blanks with the ordinals in sequence. How many animals are there? (5)

6. Ask students to complete the sentences by using the corresponding ordinal number. Read the first sentence and drive students to notice the sentences are not in the same order as the animals.

7. You may want to read the sentences and wait for students to write down the number. Then, ask students to read the sentences aloud.

8. Invite students to work in pairs and challenge their partners by saying the name of an animal, ‘bear, for example, for the student to read the sentence about ‘bear.

9. Ask students to say the ordinal numbers backwards 10th to 1st.

10. Distribute the worksheet and draw students’ attention to the first line of animals for them to point and say the ordinal number they take in a sequence.

11. Read the sentence ‘IF THE CAT IS THE FIRST ANIMAL….and do 1) as a model.

12. Invite students to complete the exercise 2) to 5) and check answers.

13. Ask students to color the animals according to the instructions. You may want to read the sentences for students and wait for them to color.

14. Invite students to show their worksheets to other classmates and talk about the animals.
