1. Have the beam projector ready to show the activities  suggested in the “ Materiales   Educativos  Digitales”

 2. Ask students if they know what a ‘stunt’ is. Tell them about Felix Baumgartner, a stunt who broke a record, What record did he break?

3. Ask students what their favorite action movie is and talk about those very dangerous scenes and the role of stunts there.

4. Do the preparation task first, (6 new words to match to their definitions) and project it and ask students to read and answer.

5. Play the news (You may use the transcript to show the class after the first time you play the video.)

6. Ask students what their opinion is and discuss why this topic became news.

7. Work on the first comprehension exercise, multiple choice. 9 items to answer. How was their comprehension?

8. Review with students the expressions learned to give an opinion, agree or disagree with it.

9. Ask students to work in pairs and make a list of the expressions to express opinions they mention.

10. The text takes 7 minutes, decide on how much information you want your students to learn. If you scroll down, you’ll find some paragraphs with more examples.

11. Check the expressions students wrote down and clarify meaning and context if necessary.

12. Invite students to think of two expressions to use to give their opinion on famous singers they know.

13. Have some pairs of students share with the class what they think of…

14. For homework, ask students to write a dialogue where two friends are talking about music and one of them expresses his opinion while the other disagrees.

4. Ask students to work in pairs and practice again with the same technique to review, WHAT / WHERE / WHO / WHEN / WHY / HOW and review the news.

5. Play the video without sound to help them remember the facts. Check answers.

6. Do exercise 2: gap-fill numbers. Invite pairs of students to come to the front and take turns and answer.

7. Continue with exercise 3: ordering parts of the news report. Show it and ask students to discuss it in pairs, then give you the answers. Contrast and show answers.

8. Show the transcript (if you didn’t do it in the previous session) and play the video for students to follow it now reading as well.

9. Tell students they are going to listen to some people give their opinions on different things and topics and then they have to identify if the person agrees or disagrees with that opinion.

10. Ask students to write the answers in their notebooks. Tell them to make a list numbered 1-4 and write the answer the person gives and write on a second column WHAT to write what the topic is about (sports, movies, cities, etc.)

11. Ask students to check answers in pairs.

12. Do the second exercise and ask students to keep working in pairs, play the audio, and ask students to tell you what the missing word is (pretend you didn’t hear).
