1. Download the file and make copies for students of the activity suggested in the MED section. There are two pages for this activity (pp.2-5), then, have the beam projector ready to show the interactive activity for the second part of the session.

2. Tell students they are going to practice making requests and need to work in pairs.

3. Review with students which modals they can use for making requests.

4. Distribute the worksheet and read the dialog on the left with a student.

5. Guide students through the table and read the information. Make sure they are comfortable with it since many times students don't know how to answer and record information in tables or any other visual organizer.

6. Tell students that depending on the role card they get, they need to call up their roommate to tell them you will be late and request a favor from them. They need to substitute the underlined information with the cards they get. Then, write down their requests in the table.

7. Monitor and offer help as needed.

9. In the projection, students will see some boxes in violet and others in Green.

10. You need some dice for students to throw and get the line numbers they are going to use.

11. If the die shows ‘3’, students A will use the lines in violet numbered 3 and the other student will use the Green lines in 3.

12. Encourage students to participate actively and act out their lines to sound more realistic.

13. Make students notice how many different lines they can have in a conversation.

1. Download the files suggested in the MED section and make copies for students.

2. Tell students they are going to be creative and work with two particular situations that maybe they have experienced before. They are going to make some special requests so it is necessary they review their vocabulary of expressions and their grammar to make the questions correctly.

3. Ask students when was the last time they asked for something, what it was and if they got it.
