Have the beam projector ready to show the video suggested in the “MaterialesEducativosDigitales” section and download the file suggested as well for the second part of the lesson. 2. Ask students to give you definitions of ‘offer’ and to think of people who you'd use a different level of formality with when asking for something. 3. Tell students they are going to examine different ways to offer and ask for help and they need to identify them. |

Desarrollo | 00:25 | 4. Play the video and compare the 'offer' definition in it to the ones students gave. 5. Discuss the expressions divided into informal and formal and think about a couple of possible situations to use them. 6. Continue with the section of ‘accepting and declining’ and invite students to write down the expressions in their notebooks. 7. Finish the video by projecting the ‘dialog’ and read it for the students as they underline the expressions to offer and ask for help as well as the ones accepting or declining. 8. Ask questions, “What did Anton forget? What’s the weather like? How does Ryan offer help?” 9. Ask students to practice the dialog in pairs and monitor and help with pronunciation. |

Ask students to sit in pairs and exchange their worksheets to discuss their sentences. 14. Have some volunteers read their sentences and encourage the class to give their opinions and correct if necessary. |

Desarrollo | 00:25 | 4. Divide the class into two groups (A and B). 5. Separate the two groups, give each student a corresponding A or B worksheet and ask the students to draw the requests on the worksheet in the corresponding numbered squares. 6. When everyone has finished drawing their pictures, have the students cut the worksheet as indicated. Then, students then pair up with someone from the other group. 7. The students give their partner the drawings they have made. 8. Tell the students that request 1 to 4 begins with 'Could you...?' and requests 5 to 9 begin with 'Can you...?' 9. The students then take it in turns to guess the requests from their partner's pictures. They get three chances to guess the request in each picture. 10. If a student guesses correctly on the first try, they score three points. On the second try, they get two points. On the third try, they score one point and the student with the most points at the end of the activity is the winner.
