1. Have the beam projector ready to show the videos suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section. 2. Review with students greetings, good morning, good afternoon, and good night and ask them when we use them during the day.

3. Focus on ‘Good morning’, and write on the board this sentence  ‘Early in the morning I say good morning’ and clap, clap, clap.

4. Ask students to say the sentence twice clapping.

5. Tell students they are going to sing a song to sing on the mornings. The  song lyrics will appear in the video so they can follow it better.

6. Include some moves for students to mime while they sing.

7. Play the video one more time and sing and dance along.

8. Ask students, ‘ What do you say early in the morning?’ and encourage students to say loud and clear, ‘Good morning, hello and how are you?’

9. Play the song one more time without sound and encourage students to sing and dance, how does it sound?

10. Tell students there is another fun song to sing in class.The song lyrics are on the same page of the video in case you want to make handouts or write them on the board.

11. Practice, Hello, what’s your name? / My name is________ in pairs  and monitor.

12. Play the video and ask students to listen so they can catch the melody and words.

13. Mime some moves for students to imitate and invite them to sing along.

14. Play the video one more time and sing and dance along in pairs.

1. Download the files and make copies of the suggested activities in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section.

2. There are   7 different worksheets about greetings in the first file. I suggest you use activity 1 and / or 3.However if you think any of the other activities would work better for the type of students you have, print them.

3. Say ‘Good morning’ and ask students to spell the expression out for you, do the same with ‘Good evening’ and ‘Good night’.

4. Activity 1: distribute the word search and read the words for students to identify them.

5. Ask students questions about when to use these words, i.e., ‘when do you say ‘fine’? or ‘if you say ‘thank you’ to your friend Luis, what does he say in return? (You’re welcome) ,etc.

6. Have students do the word search and ask them to raise their hands when they’re done.

7. Check words with the class.

8. Activity 3: distribute the activity and give instructions: complete / CHOOSE THE CORRECT WORD, ETC.

8. Invite students to practice the sentences with another classmate. Elicit from them, ‘how are you?’ in #2 so they answer ‘I am fine.

9. Ask students to work on exercise one unscrambling the words: good morning, good afternoon, good evening. When they are don, ask them to read them aloud.

10. Read aloud the poems in exercise 2 and have students listen to you.

11. Ask students to match the pictures to the corresponding poems. Then, check their answers with another classmate and have some volunteers read the poems to the class.

1. Have the beam projector ready to show students the video  suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales”  and download the file and make copies of the worksheet for students.

2. Ask students how they say, ‘gracias’ and ‘por favor’ in English.

3. Tell students that being polite is very important so when they ask for something, they need to say  ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ so give them an example.

4. Tell students they are going to learn a song about ‘Being polite’.

5. Play the video and make pauses to make sure everybody understands the song.

6.Invite them to read the lyrics aloud and correct pronunciation as needed.

7. Invite students to work in pairs and decide on some moves to go with the song.

8. Play the song and invite students to sing and dance along.

9.Distribute the worksheet and read aloud ‘Can I have---?’ . Make students repeat after you paying close attention to intonation.

10. Read aloud the 6 phrases  and invite students to work in pairs practicing each one of the requests taking turns. Model the activity, “Can I borrow ‘FOUR APPLES’? “  and answer “Yes, you can”, etc.

11. Continue with exercise 2, students find the 10 food words.

12. When they finish, ask them to spell them out and check them in their worksheet.
