Website to work with the relation between the different question words and the words that typically answer them.
Sugerencia de uso
The teacher shows some pictures of rainbow flowers and asks:
- Would you like to have flowers an unusual color or of multiple colors?
- Where do plants get their water and minerals?
- Why plants have roots?
- How water and nutrients go up to the stem?
In the blackbord the teacher writes the question word and explains the words that typically answer:
- Where? away, here, inside, there, up, from, to, …
- Why? because …
- How? adverbs (end in –ly: clearly, easily, quietly, slowly)
- When? later, now, soon, then, tomorrow
After, the students practice with short questions and simple answers.
