1. Download the file in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section and make photocopies for students.

2. Enter the webpage and click C+P in order to print the template.

3. Make copies for students and tell them they’ re going to work as if they were professionals sine they will use the ‘official’ formats to write a script.

4. Distribute the worksheet and invite students to work in groups of 3.

5. This story has six scenes so invite students to discuss what the story might be. Monitor the activity.

6. Ask students to start working on the scene heading and action lines by writing a draft.

7. This activity is divided into 2 parts, this is the first one so make sure you give students more time to concentrate on the discussion and writing.

8. Visit each group and read what they are writing, as a draft make corrections and suggestions.

9. This is the second part of the activity, so tell students to continue working in the same groups.

10. After students wrote scene heading and action lines, it is time to write some dialogues.

11. Ask students to discuss briefly what the dialogues might be about and write simple lines.

13. Invite groups of students to share their dialogues by reading them to the class.

2. Tell students they have been practicing with many silent films different skills and now they are going to work with a film produced by an English class like theirs.

3. Ask students what they may need in order to film a silent movie in the classroom, suggest them to make a list.

8. Invite some volunteers to act out some scenes, encourage students to be enthusiastic and participative.

9. Play the video and have two pairs of students imitating the actors in the movie.

10. Make everybody participate and have the class give recommendations and suggestions.

12. Distribute the worksheet and tell students they are going to draw in three scenes or parts of the movie they watched in the previous activity ‘The First Date’.

13. Go over the template with students (it is in Spanish, however, guide them through it), and ask them to organize the activity in their teams. They do not have to do anything complicated or elaborated but something short and simple
