2. Rearrange the classroom into an obstacle course using the benches, the desk, the schoolbags,some boxes, etc. Make sure it has several possible routes to get from one end to the other of the room. Blindfold a Sand have other Sgive her/him directions so that he can traverse the course. Instruct the S to use expressionslike: walk three steps, turn left/right, go around the desk, one step more, etc. This should be fun and keep the interest of the other Ss. Once The Ss has passed through the obstacle course blindfold, choose anotherSs,andhave the child that has just finished their turngive him a different route. Help the Ss with the vocabulary. Continue this activity until every Ss has passed. Make sure not to make the course too complicated because of time issues.

Hand out the directions of the exercise to the pairs. First have each pair practice complete dialogues by using the pattern that is on the sheet. 3. Hand out the downtown map and the restaurant guide to the Ss. Each pair looks at the guide of restaurants and places them on the map. Then give the Ssa point (in the map) where supposedly the pairs arestanding. One S says that he wants to go to X restaurant and the second should give her/him instructions about how to go. Stimulate Ss to use their imagination (and vocabulary)to construct better dialogues.You can hand out the PartnerAsheet and PartnerBSheet to them. Have each pair repeat the activity choosing a different restaurant. It is important that you walk around the classroom to check that Ss are giving and following instructions and to assist them.
