Desarrollo | 00:40 | 2. T: point at today and yesterday’s date in the classroom calendar. 5’ 3. T: standing in front of your class say: “Hello” and elicit and answer from your Ss. 4. Ss respond with a formal or informal way of saying hello. 5. Sing the new Hello Song from Dragon Tales. 6. T: show the video of the song and have Ss read/ sing two times. T: this will give you an opportunity to work with pronunciation; Ss identifying words with actions, check verbs, reading, tone of voice and intonation, and understanding punctuation. Make copies of the lyrics page and give one to each S. 5’ 7. Write the following sentence on the board: 8. I say hello when I arrive and say goodbye when I leave. 9. T: ask Ss to take out the answers they wrote in a piece of paper yesterday. T: explain to your Ss that they will be creating dialogue cards with the 8 x 12 cm cards they brought from home. (ficha bibliografica) 5´ 10. To make the dialogue cards, Ss “cut” the sentences in parts. They write the parts of the sentences on the cards, for example: 11. Ss write on one card the word Hello, on a second card Goodbye or any of the other ways we have to say hello and goodbye. 12. On the third card they´ll choose a verb in present or in past for example; go, watch, sing, work, teach, etc. Fourth card, they write a place (noun) home, playground, classroom, doctor´s office, etc. Fifth and sixth cards a personal pronoun; I, you, he/she, we, etc. and a preposition; to, for, on, above, inside, etc. respectively. Seventh, eight, ninth and tenth card anything else they wrote as part of their sentence or anything you can think of. 13. T: at the end of the class you’ll have three sets of cards. One for the hello or any other way of saying hello Ss know. One for goodbye or any of the ways they know to say goodbye. One with all the rest of the parts of a sentence. 14. Remind Ss of their Crazy, funny Little Red Riding Hood Story and let them know in our next session we’ll be making Crazy sentences with the cards we wrote today. 20’ 15. T: let Ss know next class we’ll rehearse the final session of this week where we’ll be presenting our songs to our friends and family. Choose a S or Ss to welcome our guest and to present our performance program. 10’ |

T: take out the three sets of cards from the past session. Remind Ss of their Crazy, funny Little Red Riding Hood Story and let them know today we’ll be making Crazy sentences with the cards we wrote. Divide the group in teams and place the sets of cards on the front of the classroom. Each member of the team comes to the front and picks one card from each hello and goodbye sets then, one card from the rest of the piles; place, verb, pronoun, preposition. 6. They go back to their teams and put a sentence together the team who finishes first is the winner. 20’ 7. T: let Ss know they’ll show these cards and explain the game to their guest the next session. 8. Sing the new Hello Song from Dragon Tales. 9. T: show the video of the song and have Ss sing one time. Divide the group in teams and ask Ss to act the parts of the song as they did in a previous session. They’ll present this choreograph singing to their guest during the next session. Remember there will be a Ss presenting the rest of the group. 10’ 10. Divided in teams while at their table, Ss will take five minutes to show their Crazy funny Little Red Riding Hood story to the guest who visit the table. 5 |
