2. T: start by singing the days of the week song. 3. Ask Ss to tell you today’s date, yesterday’s and tomorrow’s by pointing at it on the calendar you used the previous session. 4. Show Ss the date for the Olympic games, again Ss respond. T asks Ss to tell you their birth date. 5. What other significant dates can they think of? Ss respond. 6. Choose the calendar template you want to use so Ss make their own calendar. Calendars can be individual or for teams. Templates can be altered so you can create a document according to your preferences and needs. 7. Make copies of your chosen calendar and hand them to Ss. 8. Have Ss write the name of the month, days and numbers on the calendar and mark the dates they mentioned on it; Mother’s day, Father’s day, Children’s day, 1st day of classes, vacations or their birthday, days for English class or any religious celebration if your school allows it. 9. This is a long activity, you decide if children can do all the pages in the classroom or finish at home for review the next session. At this point of the class you should have about 15’ left. 10. There is a link for a computer game/exercise Ss can play. The game can take between 7 to 10’ depending on your Ss ability. Ss need to point and drag, if correct the monkey gets a banana if not the monkey cries. This game has sound.

3. Now, tell Ss they are going to learn another song, this time about the days of the month, sing it twice. 4. Ask Ss: How many days are there in your birthday month? 5. Ss respond: There are ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬___days in my birthday month. 6. Ask Ss to take out their calendar to review the pages they started to work on last session. Correct if necessary. 7. T: has previously made cards the size of half letter size page with the name of the months, a total of 12. 8. After correcting the calendar pages set the cards with the names of the months on the walls all around the classroom and tell Ss they are going to play “run to the wall”. T calls the name of the month and Ss run to the wall with the correct name of the month the teacher called. 9. Have the Ss play the memory game twice. The link on the “Recursos” column will take you there. This game has sound to practice the pronunciation of the months of the year. Ask Ss to repeat the months after they hear it from the computer.
